The vaccination center of the Rems-Murr district will start operations on January 22, 2021. The delivery of the ultra-low freezer ordered by the state of Baden-Württemberg for the vaccination center to cool the vaccines has been delayed until mid-February 2021. On January 12, 2021, the district office asked whether we at ALFRED GIESSER MESSERFABRIK could help out at short notice with our ultra-low freezer with a temperature of down to -86 degrees Celsius. This was purchased in April 2020 for hardness tests with a special high-alloy metallurgical material developed in-house, which is used in the food industry.
Due to the limited quantity of vaccines, there must now be no interruption in the cold chain. Now it is also important to save human lives. We have agreed directly and want to make our small contribution to making life more livable again.
Accordingly, we immediately made sure via production control that we bring forward the orders affected within the next 6 weeks, in which this special material will be used, in order to remain able to deliver.
The ultra-low temperature freezer was handed over to the District Administrator of the Rems-Murr district, Dr. Richard Sigel, by Silvie Giesser-Reinhard & Hans Werner Reinhard on the evening of January 19, 2021.
